I also treats insomnia and studies culture-bound syndromes. When I met Susu, her symptoms felt like a plague spreading through our generation. But later, I was inspired by her courage. Together we climbed the giant seawall at the edge of the world. In the end, we didn’t become seeds. If miracles still exist, they might lie in the goodwill we show toward one another, even after we’ve messed everything up. I believe that by telling our stories, we can find redemption.
